Kennedy Ododo Lejah serves as the GROW Ambassador to Kenya, where he leads humanitarian outreach and community development initiatives with compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
Kennedy’s journey is one of extraordinary perseverance. At just nine years old, he lost both of his parents in a tragic road accident, leaving him and his five-year-old sister orphaned. Faced with extreme hardship, hunger, and a lack of access to education, he eventually found himself living on the streets of Eldoret, Kenya, where he survived for nearly four years.
His life changed when he was rescued by Mrs. Monica, a compassionate woman whose kindness gave him a second chance. Through her care, Kennedy returned to school, rebuilt his life, and discovered renewed Hope for the future. Inspired by the Love and generosity shown to him, he made it his life’s mission to extend that same Hope to others.
Kennedy completed his education and began a career with the Uasin Gishu Fire Department in Eldoret, where he continues to serve his community with dedication and integrity. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Everline, and a proud father to their daughters, Valentine and Beckyjoy and Tashley and son Prince Kennedy
Having experienced the pain of abandonment and life on the streets as a child, Kennedy has transformed his own story into a mission of hope for others.
His unwavering compassion has led him to rescue abandoned and orphaned children who have nowhere to turn. Through his partnership with Greatness Reached over Oppression through Wisdom (GROWUnitedGlobally), he is helping provide these children with a safe and loving home, nourishment, education, mentorship, and the opportunity to dream again. Kennedy’s life’s work reflects the very heart of GROW—transforming adversity into opportunity and ensuring that every child knows they are valued, loved, and never forgotten.
As GROW Ambassador to Kenya, Kennedy oversees charitable missions focused on supporting street-connected children, feeding programs, educational opportunities, and community outreach to families in need. Through his partnership with Greatness Reached over Oppression through Wisdom (GROW), he works tirelessly to restore dignity, create opportunity, and inspire lasting change throughout Kenya.
